The Solicitor ensures prosecutions of charged citizens are processed orderly and efficiently, assigning cases and advising attorneys as the Chief Prosecuting Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina, serving Darlington, Dillon, Marlboro and Chesterfield Counties.

Your court date is dependent upon the reason you are coming to court.  Information concerning your first appearance will be listed on your bond paperwork.  You may view our Court Dates page for dates and rosters for court appearances for each county that is served by the Fourth Judicial Circuit.

First, you need to speak with a private attorney.  If you cannot afford an attorney, you may apply for an attorney with the Public Defender’s Office.

You must stay in regular contact with your attorney.  Discuss with your attorney your options prior to your second appearance date.

A bench warrant could be issued for your arrest.

The Fourth Judicial Circuit is prohibited from providing legal advice or answering legal questions.

Prosecutors are prohibited from speaking to criminal defendants.  Please contact your attorney if you have any questions about your case.
